The
Butterfly Tattoo Gig
The
Butterfly Tattoo and 3 Spirit Music (www.3spiritmusic.co.uk) are
organizing a gig on the 24th August at The Purple Turtle (www.purpleturtlebar.com) in Oxford. Featured bands are Light Box, The Plug, Not My Day, Fatally Yours and Amberstate.
Bands performing
that evening will be considered to be cast as the on stage band in the film. This
scene will be shot at The Jericho Tavern (www.thejerichotavern.co.uk), the
place where Radiohead played their first gigs.
The deal
includes a contract negotiated by Ricall (www.ricall.com),
the leading licensing business in the UK. Bands not selected to be used on
screen in The Butterfly Tattoo will still have a good chance to get their
tracks featured on the film soundtrack. Those deals will also be negotiated by
Ricall on behalf of The Butterfly Tattoo.
Ricall is
the leading business to business music marketplace connecting buyers and
sellers of music licences directly. Ricall has signed with the BBC, SonyBMG,
Domino Records, Broadcast Magazine, Notting Hill Music, Framepool and many
others. Now The Butterfly Tattoo can be added to that very impressive list.
The
Butterfly Tattoo is an independent feature film based on Philip Pullman’s book
of the same name. Set to be shot in Oxford in August and September 2007, it
will show the side of Oxford not seen in the famous Harry Potter, The Golden
Compass and Inspector Morse films. Local bands are now also invited to join
this innovative production!
