A project of this scale relies on literally dozens of people to achieve its final greatness, but this small army is led by a hand full of professionals. Since the Film is in the pre-production stage no acting talent has been attached, but key crew functions have been filled. All relevant CVs are available from any of the producers.
Phil Hawkins
DIRECTOR

Award-winning director Phil Hawkins will be directing the picture. The Women of Troy (winner of Best Director of an International Production at the 2006 NY Independent Film Festival). He also directed many award winning commercials for clients including the World Wildlife Fund, Poppets and Manchester Arndale. He was also chosen by the BBC to direct a film for their young talent competition. His previous work includes
His vision of the project parallels the producers' ideas. He is open to try new techniques, yet commercial enough to produce a film the target audience will love. Dynamic Entertainment DEH has strong confidence he will turn The Butterfly Tattoo into the blockbuster all stakeholders are hoping for.

Stephen Potts

Dynamic Entertainment is proud to present Stephen Potts as The Butterfly Tattoo’s screenwriter!
Stephen Potts is a British author of children’s books, particularly historical adventure novels. His books, radio and stage productions have garnered award nominations and a lot of positive reviews. Compass Murphy, his second book, was optioned as a family feature TV movie of which Stephen was asked to write the screenplay.
Having studied in Oxford he knows the town where The Butterfly Tattoo is set by heart. Dynamic Entertainment is confident he has a great understanding of the story and the characters that drive it. Without a doubt Stephen, the Dynamic Entertainment team, and Phil Hawkins will work collaboratively to produce a fantastic screenplay!

PRODUCERS

The project will be managed by three producers. Rik Visser will be the chief producer, overall in charge, closely aided by Wesley Kloppenburg and Jolies van Emburg, respectively responsible for financing/investor relations and casting/crewing. They are united in Dynamic Entertainment DEH Ltd. A fourth (line) producer/Production Manager, Penelope Merrill, has been hired in Oxford.
The first project Visser, Kloppenburg and Van Emburg supervised was the biggest independent teenage production in the Netherlands. The result (Love, Life, Liquor & Lore) was an 87 minute contemporary film shown in local theatres. It gathered some good press.

Rik Visser
|
Rik is a major in International Economics and Business, specializing in International Finance, at the University of Amsterdam. Rik's main strength is conceiving and initiating fresh new ideas. His English skills were honed by attending the International School in Hamburg, Germany for two years and high school in the USA for another three. He was president of the Stichting VVM Productions, a not for profit film foundation.

Wesley Kloppenburg
|
Wesley Kloppenburg attends the Business Studies programme at the Tilburg University. Wesley is a driving force; he recognizes efficient solutions and has the perseverance to see a project through to the end.
Wesley is an active member of the Academic Business Club and does academic research on predicting movie success. He is currently financial director and secretary of Dynamic Entertainment DEH Ltd and was treasurer for the VVM Producties Foundation.

Jolies van Emburg |
Jolies van Emburg studies Theatre, Film, Television and New Media Sciences and follows a minor in Art, Policy and Management at Utrecht University. She was secretary of the Festuthé Festival, a renowned student comedy festival.
She is director of Dynamic Entertainment DEH Ltd., where her greatest strength is her creativity and her prime role is to channel and focus the creative energies of her colleagues.

Penelope Merrill
|
Penelope Merrill is based in the film's home city of Oxford. She graduated from the University of Wales Aberystwyth in 2006 with a BA Hons in Film and Television.
She has worked on a number of films and music videos with established companies, as well as making a few under her own company label, Lady Productions Ltd.
Alongside her passion for film, she also has a varied amount of experience in theatre, her most recent job being with the highly acclaimed Creation Theatre Company.
